New York State troopers are investigating after a sequence of swastikas had been present in graffiti at a Lengthy Island park.
East Hampton City police and New York State Park Cops responded for complaints of graffiti on a number of indicators on the Shadmoor State Park in Montauk on Dec. 19, police stated. After arriving on the scene, officers noticed quite a few indicators vandalized with anti-Semitic markings, together with swastikas, East Hampton police stated.
“This morning, I was heartbroken to see more swastikas defacing Shadmoor State Park in Montauk,” Rabbi Joshua Franklin of the Jewish Middle of the Hamptons posted on social media. “In a world that often feels dark, Hanukkah reminds us of the power of light—the kind we create through acts of love and kindness.”
Police stated the vandalism seems to be remoted to the state park and New York State prison investigators are main the investigation.
