A raging fireplace at a fancy Brooklyn resort despatched plumes of smoke and vivid flames into the nighttime air early Wednesday.
Authorities responding to a name concerning the blaze on the Moxy Brooklyn Williamsburg on Bedford Avenue encountered fireplace on the primary ground of the 12-story constructing round 2 a.m. The resort’s out of doors eating area apparently caught fireplace.
The hearth was beneath management in a little bit over an hour.
No accidents have been reported.
About 215 rooms have been occupied on the time of the hearth, the FDNY stated.
Visitors and workers ran out into the rain as the hearth surged. They have been later permitted to reoccupy the constructing. Some opted to depart the premises anyway, given the extraordinary scent of smoke and fireplace.
The reason for the hearth is beneath investigation.
