Throughout a Dec. 14 assembly of native Conservative Celebration candidates, public advocate contender Angela Aquino criticized incumbent Jumaane Williams, claiming he was disconnected from the experiences of most Black People and even questioned his racial id.
“Currently, we have an incumbent that presents himself as a Black person. But is he really Black?” mentioned Aquino in a speech earlier than about two dozen attendees within the Bronx. After the speeches ended, Aquino confirmed to the Bronx Occasions that she stood by her feedback about Williams, together with questioning his race. “I’m not backing down on that,” she mentioned.
