Norwalk police stated they’ve arrested a person in reference to the demise of his child daughter after figuring out that malnutrition and neglect contributed to her demise.
The investigation began on June 11 when a person referred to as 911 and stated a 4-month-old child was choking on system and he had achieved CPR for a number of minutes.
The newborn was taken to Norwalk Hospital, the place she died, police stated.
Norwalk detectives took over the investigation and labored with the Workplace of the Chief Medical Examiner, the Division of Youngsters and Households, Youngsters’s Connection Norwalk and the Yale New Haven Hospital DART Crew (Detection, Evaluation, Referral and Therapy).
Police stated the investigation revealed that problems of medical and dietary neglect with necrotizing appendicitis and continual malnutrition contributed to her demise, which was decided to be murder.
Police obtained a warrant for 27-year-old Kyle Vigneault and took him into custody at his residence on Thursday.
He was charged with manslaughter within the first diploma, threat of harm to a baby and cruelty to individuals.
Police recognized him because the child’s father.
His bond was set at $125,000 and he’s due in courtroom on Feb. 27.
