All faculties in New Jersey’s Montclair College District are closed Monday due to a safety concern.
Authorities say directors had been made conscious of a possible menace late Sunday. They contacted police and have been coordinating as applicable. Officers declined to share specifics on the character of the menace.
“I understand that this last-minute closure may cause inconvenience, but the safety of our students, staff, and entire school community is our highest priority,” a letter from the superintendent stated. “Please know that we are working collaboratively with law enforcement to monitor the situation and ensure the security of our schools.”
Directors pledged updates as they change into accessible.
